THE Benue State House of Assembly at an emergency sitting on Friday at Government House, Makurdi, presided over by the speaker, Hon. Aondona Dajoh, has rounded off the screening of commissioner-nominees sent to it by Governor Hyacinth Alia.

The House had earlier on Thursday screened eight nominees out of 17 while the remaining 9 were screened on Friday.
The nominees screened on Friday were Hon. Ugwu Udoh – Ogbadibo, Hon. Kwaghgba Amande – Katsina-Ala, Hon. Manasseh Alumo – Tarka, Hon. Tiza Imojime – Buruku, Prof. Moses Ogbaji – Oju, Hon. Michael Oglegba – Otukpo, Hon. Barr Matthew Shaager – Ushongo, Hon. Abo Matthew – Ukum, and Hon. Omale Omale – Apa.

The House adjourned till Thursday, August 17, 2023 when the nominees would be confirmed.
