DESPITE pleas from several quarters in Nigeria, former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice, and a medical doctor, Obinna Obeta, were last Friday, May 5, 2023 sentenced to various terms of imprisonment for conspiring to traffic a young Nigerian trader from Lagos to the United Kingdom (UK) for the purpose of harvesting his kidney.
