CANDIDATES from eleven out of the 23 local government areas of Benue State who applied for teaching positions under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) have so far taken the ongoing Computer Based Test (CBT).
The examination, which is taking place at Athens Model College, CBT Centre, opposite United Bank for Africa (UBA), commenced on September 25, 2024 and it is to last till October 28.
Terhide Iornenge from Ukum local government and Emmanuel Agbo from Ado local government who have taken their turns already told National Record that each local government has its date to participate in the exercise.
According to them, applicants report to the examination venue as early as 7am for screening of their credentials after which they enter into the hall in batches of two hundred (200).
“The examination takes 30 minutes per batch and the hall contains two hundred people. The questions are more of current affairs and from any subject regardless of one’s field of study because it is believed that a teacher teaches every subject at the primary school level,” Iornenge said.
The 11 LGAs which have participated in examination so far include Obi, Ado, Gboko, Ushongo, Agatu, Oju, Okpokwu, Apa, Ukum, Ohimini and Gwer East.
