“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
“The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like the hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.” – (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
WELCOME to the Month of October, 2023, the last Quarter of the year.
Our Focus for the month is: “THE SPIRIT OF JOY” (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
I decree and declare that the joy of the Lord shall overwhelm your lives and terminates every spirit of fear, worries, anxiety and depression, in Jesus Name.
With joy, you shall draw Strength, Power, Blessings and Rest throughout this Month, in Jesus Name.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Real joy comes from knowing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This real joy has to do with selflessly loving the people around us; and it will also come by growing in obedience to the Word of God.
There is a connection between joy and your inheritance, possession and possibilities in life. Therefore, with joy shall you draw water out of the well of salvation (Isaiah 12:3).
With joy, you can draw uncommon favour, uncommon blessings and it can also open your gate to the supernatural. Ideas and great potentials are released or generated when you are joyful. Even your health can be enhanced by the spirit of joy. “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth up the bones” (Proverbs 17:22).
Despite the happenings in your life, family, career, ministry and the prevailing economic situations in our nation and the earth, I encourage you to deploy the mystery of joy in order to harness all that God has in store for you this Month by rejoicing always. (1 Thessalonians 5:16).
Even if what you are trusting God for is yet to be manifested, refuse to be discouraged or depressed. Rather, rejoice, for faithful is He that promised you, it will not tarry, it will surely come to pass (Hebrews 10:23; Habakkuk 2:3)
Sources of Joy
1. Through the Holy Spirit: Joy comes from the Holy Spirit, not your own efforts or imagination. “And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the Word in much affliction, with Joy of the Holy Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 1:6; Galatians 5:22)
2. By Knowing Jesus as Lord and Saviour: Joy comes from knowing Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice” (Philippians 4:4)
3. Through Faith: It comes through faith by believing in God: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing” (Romans 15:13)
4. By Belonging to The Kingdom of God: Joy comes from belonging to the kingdom of God. “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17)
5. Through Fellowship With Other Believers: Joy comes through fellowship with other believers. Paul said “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
6. From Sanctifying Effects of Tribulation and Trials: Joy comes through trials and tribulations. “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope” (Romans 5:3-4). Paul further challenged us to: “Be followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
Profits of Joy:
1. It brings health to our Spirit, Soul and Body (Proverbs 17:22)
2. Joy is the secret of strength and progress (Nehemiah 8:10)
3. Joy is a trigger for uncommon favour and blessings (Isaiah 12:3)
4. It increases our desire to pray and seek the Lord (Job 33:26)
5. It brings freedom and Liberty to our souls from worries, fear, anxiety and depression
6. Victory is established when joy is on ground (2 Chronicles 29:21)
7. It is our ticket to open heaven
8. It is the secret of peace and rest (Isaiah 26:3)
9. Joy saturates our atmosphere and climate. As they rejoiced with great joy, the earth seemed to split (1 Kings 1:40)
10. It is the secret of increase and abundance (Psalm 67:5-7)
