Ministerial Nominees: Tinubu Forwards Final List To Senate

SENATE President, Godswill Akpabio, on Wednesday received the final list of ministerial nominees. Infomed sources said the list contained 19 additional nominees for ministerial positions which include former governors Matawalle, Oyetola, Bagudu, Lalong and Geidam, of Zamfara, Osun, Kebbi and Plateau states respectively.

Others include former senator from Bayelsa State, Heineken Lokpobiri and Shuiabu Abubakar Audu.

Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had earlier on Wednesday submitted the supplementary ministerial list to the Senate President.

The initial list of nominees which was submitted last Thursday, has been screened at Wednesday’s sitting.

Gbajabiamila had last Thursday, July 27, 2023 submitted the first list with 28 nominees to the Senate when he assured that more names would be forwarded at a later date.
