Enough is Enough: Army Orders Criminals to Exit Benue

THE COMMANDER 4 Special Forces (SF) Command, Maj. Gen. Hilary Nzan, has warned criminal elements to vacate Benue or they will be hunted and crushed by the Armed Forces and other security agencies.

Nzan gave the warning during the flag off ceremony of Exercise Enduring Peace III on Tuesday at Tyodugh, Agan council ward of Makurdi LGA.

The commander reiterated that kidnappers, armed robbers, cattle rustlers, recalcitrant herders and farmers should think twice before indulging in any activity that is against the law.

“I can assure you that the military and other agencies out for this exercise will hunt you anywhere you hide and they will crush you mercilessly. 

“Enough is enough for you all criminals as peace is not negotiable in Benue. Be all warned,” Nzan said. 

He said that the operations were aimed at checkmating various skirmishes and criminalities within the state especially as the yuletide season approached. 

Also, The Commander 401 Brigade, Brig. Gen. Alamin Rabiu, disclosed that the exercise was aimed at addressing the various security challenge facing Benue and by extension the entire nation.

Rabiu further disclosed that the brigade carried out adequate preparations and planning towards achieving success which culminated into demonstration of capabilities, fire power and intense cooperation between the brigade and other security agencies within the state. 

He also urged the participating troops to maintain high level of proficiency and effectiveness in the discharge of their duties.

 The Special Guest of Honour, Governor Hyacinth Alia, stated that the exercise was a renewal of hope for protection against aggression.

Alia said that the security agencies were combat ready to flush out the pockets of insecurity that were still lingering in the state. 

He further appreciated them for their sacrifices.
