OPERATIVES of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 120 individuals suspected of involvement in internet fraud. The arrests were made on Monday at various locations across Lagos State following credible intelligence and extensive surveillance.
In a statement posted on its verified X handle (@officialEFCC), the EFCC disclosed that the suspects comprise 95 males and 25 females. During the coordinated operation, law enforcement officials recovered 26 exotic cars, expensive jewelry, smartphones, laptops, and several incriminating documents.
The commission confirmed that the suspects are currently undergoing further investigation and will be arraigned in court upon its conclusion. (NAN)
