DANGOTE Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has implemented an additional price reduction of ₦15 on its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), bringing the new retail price to ₦875 per litre in Lagos.

The adjusted pricing structure is as follows:

  • Lagos: ₦875 per litre
  • South West: ₦885 per litre
  • North West & North Central: ₦895 per litre
  • South East, South South & North East: ₦905 per litre

These revised prices will be upheld across all partnered retail outlets, including MRS, AP (Ardova), Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde.

The refinery has also extended an invitation to additional marketers to join its growing distribution network, reinforcing their commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Nigeria First policy, which emphasizes the promotion of locally manufactured goods and services.

Since commencing operations, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has pursued a series of strategic price reductions to alleviate costs for Nigerian consumers.

In February 2025, the company executed two consecutive price cuts on petrol, culminating in a total reduction of ₦125 per litre.

A further decrease of approximately ₦45 per litre was implemented in April. Concurrently, the prices of diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) have also been substantially lowered, enhancing affordability in transportation, industrial operations, and household energy consumption.

The refinery has reaffirmed its dedication to price stability despite global crude oil market fluctuations, underscoring its role in bolstering Nigeria’s economic resilience.

In an official statement, the company remarked:

“By refining petroleum products domestically at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we are proud to significantly contribute to Nigeria’s energy security, foreign exchange conservation, and overall economic stability—aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to mitigate national economic challenges and elevate the welfare of Nigerians.

We extend our profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, for facilitating this achievement through the commendable Naira-for-Crude Initiative, which has enabled us to consistently lower petroleum product prices for the benefit of all citizens.”

Furthermore, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has assured the public of uninterrupted product supply, maintaining adequate reserves to meet domestic demand while generating surplus for export to augment the nation’s foreign exchange revenue.

This latest price reduction underscores Dangote Refinery’s ongoing commitment to fostering economic growth and energy accessibility in Nigeria.
