ARMED men suspected to be bandits on Friday abducted a former chairperson of Gwer West LGA of Benue State, Hon. Mrs Eunice Majwa.
A source from Adaka community told National Record correspondent on Friday that the former council boss was abducted from her farm at Nyiti Village, near Adaka in Makurdi LGA.
According to the source, eyewitnesses who were with Mrs Mbajwa on the farm pick race on sighting the bandits who were suspected to be herdsmen.
Contact was yet to be made with the family as at the time of filing this report.
When contacted to confirm the incident, Benue State Police Publication Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Sewuese Anene, said she did not receive such a report. “I don’t have this report,” Anene replied on WhatsApp.
