GOVERNOR Hyacinth Alia has expressed sadness over the death of Group Captain Joshua Obademi (Rtd.), a former military administrator of Benue State.
Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Tersoo Kula, quoted his principal in a statement on Saturday to have described the late military administrator as someone who was dedicated and had contributed greatly to the development of Benue State, especially through the promotion of functional literacy for women in the state.
According to Kula, “the functional literacy programme of the late Obademi, helped in the improvement of health and economic development of the State”.

He added that the history of Benue State as whole will be incomplete without the contributions of the late military administrator.
The governor, who prayed God to grant Obademi’s immediate family members, friends, the people of Benue and Ondo states and Nigeria as whole the fortitude to bear the loss, also prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
The late Obademi, who died on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the age of 73, was the Military Administrator of Benue State during the regime of the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, from December 1993 to August 1996.
