THE PEOPLES Redemption Party (PRP) has formally welcomed former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, into its fold.

The party described his entry as a major boost to the party’s vision for a reformed and prosperous Nigeria.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq, in Abuja on Thursday, the party said Baba-Ahmed’s decision to join the PRP marked “a new dawn” and reinforces its commitment to national renewal.

The party noted that his presence, alongside his supporters across the country, would strengthen its push for integrity in governance, improved security and economic transformation.

The PRP reiterated that its platform remains open to all patriotic Nigerians who share its vision of building a just, secure, and united nation.

It urged citizens from all walks of life to rally behind its agenda aimed at addressing the country’s challenges.

Central to the party’s roadmap is its five-point agenda, which focuses on restoring credibility in leadership, tackling insecurity through institutional reforms, revitalising the economy and restructuring the country to ensure fairness and efficiency in governance.

The party emphasised that these priorities are designed to move Nigeria beyond rhetoric to tangible progress, particularly in critical sectors such as education, healthcare and rural development. (NAN)
