THE CHIEF Operating Officer of Camroll Quest Ltd, SLTV’s mega dealer in FCT, Princess Nikky Onyeri, says Metro Digital Ltd, operators of SLTV, has broken the monopoly of pay cable television network in Nigeria.

Onyeri said this when she led her team on a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, at the Defence Headquarters on Thursday in Abuja.

The team was received on behalf of the CDS by the Chief of Defence Administration, Rear Adm. Monday Unurhiere.

She said the company had fought a protracted legal battle and ce out victorious leading to the launch of the cable television network in 2023.

Onyeri said that SLTV was a wholly Nigerian owned satellite pay TV network with quality, innovation and customer focused as its core values.

She said that SLTV currently had about 60 channels with more coming on board, adding it also had multi-tiered bouquet and dish.

According to her, SLTV has two bouquets; one goes for N2,500 monthly while the premium which is N5,000 monthly, comes with all the live channels of European Leagues.

“So, we want our channels out there, Arise, Channel Television, AIT and the rest of the documentaries, golf and so on.

“So, 58 channels are there and the good thing is that for Nigerians who love sports, especially those who watch matches, they are all there and live.

“We would like the armed forces not only to brand it across the offices but also have an investment arm,” she said.

Onyeri said the visit was to also seek the support of the armed forces for the initiatives of the organisation such as its “Salute to Courage Award” and planned book on Gender Inclusiveness for the Armed Forces.

Responding, the representative of the CDS, Rear Adm. Unurhiere, promised to convey the requests of the visitors to the defence chief, assuring that the defence headquarters would patronise the local paytv.

He also promised to liaise with the relevant departments with a view to supporting the various initiatives of the organisation.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the visit was climaxed with the presentation of some decoders and dishes to the DHQ by the visitors. (NAN)
