MORE dead bodies of officers of the Operation Whirl Stroke who were killed on Thursday in the course of repelling an attack by suspected herdsmen militia against Okokolo and other communities in Agatu local government area of Benue State have been found.

This was disclosed by Hon. Yakubu Ochepo, the caretaker chairman of Agatu LGA who said two more dead bodies of slain soldiers were discovered after a visit by the deputy governor of Benue State, Mr Sam Ode on Friday.

Hon. Ochepo, who commiserated with families of the deceased soldiers, thanked security agencies for their timely intervention and appreciated Governor Hyacinth Alia for the prompt deployment of more security personnel to the area.
National Record had reported on Friday that two soldiers were killed while unascertained number of others were injured on Thursday while exchanging fire with armed men suspected to be herdsmen to repel a simultaneous attack on Ogwumogbo, Ejima, Ogbeyi G’Okpa G’Echo and Okokolo communities in Agatu LGA, Benue South Senatorial District of Benue State.
