PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the rehabilitation of some key federal roads across Benue state following requests from Governor Hyacinth Alia.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, made this known in statement today.
According to the statement, the federal roads to be rehabilitated include:
1. General Rehabilitation of the Aliade-Gboko- Yandev Federal Road.
2. General rehabilitation of the Gboko- Lessel- Ihugh- Tse Mker Federal Road
3. General Rehabilitation of the Oju-Otukpo Federal Road.
The Governor said he was already in constant touch with the federal government for speedy completion of the Makurdi-Ugbema road, as well as the rehabilitation of some failed portions of the Katsina-Ala-Vandeikya- Ogoja federal road.
He further stated that apart from the ongoing construction of roads/streets within Makurdi metropolis, some other major towns in the state including, Gboko, Otukpo and Katsina-Ala will soon receive similar attention, adding that opening of rural roads is also prominently featured in the plans.
