        PRESS RELEASE

JIGAWA State Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has called on Nigerian Muslims to devote their prayers during the Eid-el-Kabir festival to calling on Almighty Allah to end the numerous challenges facing the country and further restore unity among the citizenry.

Badaru in a message signed by his Senior Special Assistant (Print Media), Ahmad Muhammad Danyaro, noted that the period of the Eid-el-Kabir which also coincided with the final hajj rites in the holy land provided the opportunity for Nigerian Muslims in to devote their supplication to Allah to the issue of full restoration of peace and unity across the country.

Badaru assured citizens of Jigawa of his determination to make the state a model of governance, peace, economic prosperity, agri-business and investors destination in Nigeria.

“Our resolve to make impact in critical sectors like security, education, health, agriculture, water supply, urban renewal, rural development, massive infrastructures among others remains unshaken. We will continue to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in finding lasting solutions to the challenges confronting us. We will continue with practical steps to impact on the lives of our citizens. The commendations we have received from national and global organizations will propel us to do more,” he added.

“Let me at this point congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters of Jigawa State and across the country for the grace of witnessing another Eid-el-Kabir. As we celebrate this important festival, we should not forget the symbolisms and lessons of obedience to Allah, sharing of our God-given wealth with the less privileged, being our brother’s keeper and living in peace with our neighbors as enshrined in the tenets of Islamic faith” he stated .

As we mark the festivities, let us remember the sacrifice and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim to the will of Allah, and always submit ourselves, fully, to the will of the Almighty and in service of all mankind.
