SHORTLY after his declaration as winner of Saturdays’ presidential election, Bola Ahmed Tinubu sent a message to his opponents asking them to collaborate and work together with him as he is promised to work with them.
In his victory address shortly after his declaration, in the early hours of Wednesday, Tinubu thanked all those who participated in Saturday’s election including ‘Articulated’, ‘Obidients’, ‘Batified’ and ‘Kwankwasiyya’ supporters.
“Whether you are BATified, Atikulated, Obidients, or Kwankwasiyya, I must thank you for working hard to straighten our democratic system,” Tinubu said as he also directly addressed his opponents, saying: “Let’s collaborate and work together. I promise to work with you.”
“It’s my turn actually,” elated Tinubu reiterated in his address at the party’s secretariat in Abuja in the wee hours of Wednesday, and added: “I am profoundly humbled to serve as the 16th President of our beloved country. This is a shining moment in the life of any man and an affirmation of our democratic existence. I take this opportunity to appeal to my fellow contestants to let us team up together. It is the only nation we have. It is one country and we must build together.”
