BENUE State Cash Transfer Unit of the National Cash Transfer office, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has commenced enrollment process for the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Program, a National Social Safety Net Project Scale-Up (NASSP-SU), in line with the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the the aim of bringing financial relief to vulnerable citizens in the state.

Over 224,090 households are to Benefit from the ongoing enrollment across twenty-three (23) Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the State according to a statement by the National Program Manager, Dr Michael Ajuluchuku, made available to National Record on Tuesday.

The National Program Manager intimated that “the enrollment targets127,535 beneficiaries from the National Social Register (NSR) and an additional 96,555 beneficiaries from the Rapid Response Register (RRR). In the statement, the State Program Manager, Mr Waghbo Terkura Emmanuel, urged beneficiaries to provide their National Identification Numbers (NIN) during the enrollment process to meet the eligibility criteria for opening bank accounts in fulfilment of the recent Centra! Bank of Nigeria (CBN) directives. For those who have not registered for NIN to please do so.

He disclosed that all beneficiaries will be paid through their bank accounts, adding that those with existing bank accounts will be paid through their accounts while new accounts will be opened by the program for those that do not have accounts. This strategy will help to ensure all beneficiaries are financially included through the program.

He further stated that: “each beneficiary will receive N25,000 per circle, for three payment circles, culminating in total financial support of 875,000 only. This financial assistance is to make a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, contributing to their well-being and resilience due to the hardship caused by the current economic reforms in the country.

“We are urging the public to visit their communities to enquire if their community is part of the current disclosure and check their names on the disclosure list which is often displayed on a location agreed by the community members for unhindered access and convenience of the members for validation and enrolment.
