FORMER Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Hon. Sam Ode, last Sunday joined supporters and well-wishers of Senator George Akume’s family at a Thanksgiving Service and reception in Makurdi, to congratulate and celebrate with Dr Michael Aondohemba Akume on his academic feat a recipient of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics.
Dr Aondohemba Akume is the son of former Benue State Governor, former Senator (Benue Zone B), and current Minister for Special Duties & Inter-governmental Affairs, George Akume. The young Akume finished his PhD from Nile University, Abuja, recently.
In his congratulatory message to the celebrant, Hon. Ode, a leading governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said he is happy that Dr Akume has demonstrated that he is a hardworking, focused and determined young man.
“I’m so proud of your outstanding accomplishment. You have demonstrated what determination and hard work can produce, and the fruits of your labour will be enormous.
“With this new attainment, your world overflows with new possibilities, and I know you have the wisdom and maturity to spin them into greater opportunities. You have already proved that you are equal to the challenge, with the brilliant study you have completed in record time to earn a PhD in Economics,” Hon. Ode stated.
The one-day event on Sunday, 11th July, 2021, organised by renowned women pressure group, ‘The Amazons’, started with a Thanksgiving Service at the St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Sachi, Makurdi, Benue State capital, and culminated in a grand reception at the residence of the Minister for Special Duties & Inter-governmental Affairs.
