ALL is set in Benue for the visit of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, on Wednesday, 9th November, 2022.
The Benue State chairman of the Labour Party, Engr. Ibrahim Idoko Otene, who announced this Monday at a press briefing in Makurdi said, the third visit of Mr Obi to Benue State is to unveil his blueprint for people of the state and Nigerians at large.
Debunking the insinuations that the Labour Party does not have a viable party structure to guarantee victory for Obi come 2023 general elections, Engr Otene said “the movement behind Peter Obi is the movement that started organically and people responded to the pains that they are feeling in Nigeria.
“Nobody needs a structure to tell us that the naira is going down, nobody needs a structure to tell us that we are hungry, nobody needs a structure to tell us that we are being cheated in our own land and in our own country, nobody needs a structure to tell us that human life is becoming low”.
Otene added: “Ordinarily, a movement does not have a structure, if it has a structure, it is no longer a movement. But having said that, it does not mean we don’t have an organisation or it does not mean the movement will not [grow] into a structure. Thankfully, we have Labour Party, the only party that saw tomorrow.
“You and I are the structure, the party is the structure and the party will continue to grow from grace to grace and from strength to strength”.
Otene assured Benue people that if elected, Peter Obi will move Nigeria from consumption to production and will make agriculture a new oil for the country.
The LP State Chairman encouraged members of the party and the general public to converge on IBB Square, Makurdi on Wednesday, 9th November, 2022 at 9am prompt to receive Peter Obi.
