THE NEW Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Mr Temitope Fashedemi, has expressed determination to drive the renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu in the agriculture sector.
A statement by Mr Ezeaja Ikemefuna, Assistant Director, Information, said Fashedemi made the pledge when he assumed duty on Wednesday in Abuja.
He said that the agenda was geared towards achieving food and nutrition security as well as enhance the economic growth of the country.

Fashedemi said that the agriculture sector was among the top four priority areas of the agenda of the present administration in terms of food security, job creation, poverty alleviation and economic growth.
“I am a team player and as a family we are better positioned to achieve the mandate of the ministry,” he said.

He called on the directors in the ministry to support the ministers to achieve their mandate in the ministry to achieve food sufficiency and boost the economic. Earlier, the Director, Human Resources Management, Mrs Oluwatoyin Alade, assured the permanent secretary of the total support, loyalty and commitment of management and staff of the Ministry. (NAN)
