THE NIGERIAN Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has commenced the disbursement of April 2025 upkeep payments to eligible student beneficiaries nationwide.
Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Strategic Communications at NELFUND, confirmed this in a statement issued to journalists in Abuja on Monday.
She noted that while most payments had been processed successfully, a minor delay might affect a small number of beneficiaries due to recent upgrades in the Fund’s payment and application processing system.
According to her, the system upgrade aims to enhance security and facilitate timely disbursement of upkeep allowances in future payment cycles.
“NELFUND is collaborating with relevant stakeholders to resolve these issues promptly and ensure all eligible students receive their entitlements without further delay,” Oluwatuyi stated.
She reiterated the Fund’s commitment to transparency, operational excellence, and timely student support in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all stakeholders as we continue to improve service delivery for the benefit of Nigerian students,” she added. (NAN)
