The youth received training on Cinematography & Photography, Carpentry & Wood work, and Tie & Dye.

Speaking with newsmen on the side-lines of the graduation, Comrade Issa Aremu, the Director General of the Institute, lauded the initiative of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

He stated that the skills acquired would go a long way to reduce unemployment in the country, while commending the enthusiasm and commitment exhibited by the youths.

Aremu reminded the graduands that knowledge translates to power, confidence and money, adding that they should strive to always upgrade their knowledge as he also emphasised that the skills acquisition on entrepreneurship was to complement President Bola Tinubu’s agenda on youths empowerment, job creation, economic growth among others.

He added that the mandate of the institute was to continue to train youths on skills acquisition so that they could be self-employed and also be employers of labour.

Also speaking, Mr Raji Ajayi, the Deputy Director/Acting Head of Entrepreneurship Development Department, commended the commitment and resilience of the youth to acquire skills on entrepreneurial programmes.

He charged them to use the skills acquired to add value to their lives and the society as a whole.

NAN reports that the graduands were later awarded prizes, certificates and stipends. (NAN)
