AN AREA Court in Jos on Monday sentenced a 22-year-old bus conductor, Mustapha Mohammed, to six months imprisonment for criminal intimidation and causing grievous hurt.
The judge, Irene Pati, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the offence.
Pati, however, gave the convict an option of N40, 000 fine or six months imprisonment for criminal intimidation and trespass.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported on Sept. 9, by Mr Sadi Suleiman, at the ‘C’ Division Police Station Jos.
According to him, the complainant said that the accused person trespassed into his compound with a scissors and threatened to cause him hurt.
Gokwat said that during police investigation the suspect confessed to have committed the crime.
He said that the offence contravened the Plateau State Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria. (NAN)
