A Yet to be identified suspected motorcycle thief has been burnt by an angry mob in Otukpo local government area of Benue State.
A source from the area confided in National Record that the suspected thief was set ablaze in broad day light at the Otukpo main roundabout on Tuesday.
The eyewitness said the suspect had allegedly snatched a motorcycle from its owner but fuel got exhausted from the motorcycle while trying to escape and he was caught red-handed by commercial motorcyclists popularly known as okada riders who were pursuing after him.

Another source who also pleaded anonymity alleged that the suspect was a notorious motorcycle thief from Odejo in Agatu local government area of the state.
Passersby were unable to identify the burnt body even as it was dumped openly at the Otukpo main roundabout for hours.

However, when contacted to confirm the incident, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police (SP) Sewuese Anene, said the command did not receive such information.
