THE INTERCONTINENTAL College of Technology, Makurdi (ICTM), owned by the immediate past governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has matriculated 165 students.
Ortom founded the institution located along Makurdi-Aliade Road in his second term in office.
Addressing the new students during the maiden matriculation ceremony held at the campus of the institution on Friday, Ortom said God has blessed him so much and he has decided to give back to the society by establishing the polytechnic that charges low fees which he said are affordable to all students irrespective of their economic background.

He promised to sponsor business programs that will be designed by the institution’s management to produce business men and women for self-reliance.
In separate goodwill messages, Ter Gwer, HRH Chief Dominic Akpe, Ter Guma, HRH Chief Dennis Shemberga, and other speakers urged the students to prioritise their studies and eschew all forms of social vices.
They commended the former governor for providing practical education to promote individual growth and the development of the state.
