BENUE State Governor, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia has announced immediate changes at the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, with several key officials redeployed to their former establishments and new appointments made to strengthen operations.

According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, on Tuesday, Denen Aondoakaa, Adviser in charge of the Bureau, has been moved to the office of the Chief of Staff, Government House.

Others affected include Barr. Ajinge Saar and Derby Amine, both returning to the Ministry of Justice; Mrs. Galu, redeployed to the Accountant General’s office; Shagba Ahura and Rhoda Aboh, both moving back to the Head of Service.

Those appointed to take over at the Bureau are Terna Ayu as Permanent Secretary, Terkura B. Dzwungwe as Director of Accounts and Finance, Sule J. Liambee as Director of Administration and Supply, Esther Osugh as Cashier, and Uza Christopher Uza as Director of Local Government Services.

In a related development, Mr. Noel Wende has been redeployed from the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) to the office of the Head of Service.

The statement noted that all officers taking over at the Bureau are to assume duties not later than 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

This reshuffle comes barely a month after the governor reconstituted his cabinet, redeploying some old commissioners to new ministries.
