A NON-PROFIT and non-political organisation, Dream Makers Empowerment (DME) Foundation, is set to create awareness and advocacy on the rights to education of girls and women, youths and the less privileged.

DME Foundation also aims to provide scholarships and vocational training to help women and youths gain the education and skills they need to pursue their dreams and careers.

Chairman of the Foundation, Amadi Vidal Nwando, in a statement, said other aims and objectives of the foundation include the provision of regular medical check-ups, health services, counselling and mental health support to the target groups and the organisation.

DME Foundation, Nwando added, will also support small business initiatives through micro-financing and mentorship, enabling economic independence and growth, create job training programs that prepare individuals for the workforce, giving them the skills needed to secure employment.

According to him, the foundation will conduct advocacy and awareness campaigns, awareness education on the rights of women, youths, and the less privileged, empowering them to stand up for themselves and others.

“DME Foundation shall also engage with policymakers to influence and implement policies that protect and enhance the lives of our target groups, and engage in community development and community projects through infrastructure development, build schools, clinics, and community centres that provide essential services and support to the community.

“The Foundation will also organise networking and partnerships through collaborative efforts, build strong partnerships with local and international organisations to amplify its impact and reach more individuals in need.

“Finally, the foundation said it will educate the community about sustainable practices and involve them in environmental conservation efforts and efforts to combat climate change by implementing projects that promote environmental sustainability such as tree planting and waste management initiatives,” the statement stressed.
