THE federal government has released a comprehensive timetable for handover activities which will climax on May 29, 2023 when President Muhammadu Buhari will exit power and President-elect Bola Tinubu will assume the mantle of leadership.
According to the timetable, Tinubu will be conferred with the highest national honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on May 25 along with his second-in-command, Kashim Shettima, who will be conferred with the second highest national honour of Grand Commander of Order of the Niger (GCON) the same day.
The handover schedule of activities was released by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who is the chairman of the Presidential Transition Council, at a press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
According to the SGF, the activities will commence with a dinner in honour of the outgoing President on May 23.
