THE EDUMOGA Che Nche Development Forum has issued a heartfelt message of condolence to Senator Abba Moro, the Senate Minority Leader, following an unspeakable family tragedy.
The forum said it is devastating for the family of Senator Moro to lose two young souls – his son, Peter Moro, and his grandson, Abba Moro Jnr., in fatal auto accidents within hours of each other.
In a press statement signed by its Chairman, Ambassador Ola E. Stephen, and Secretary, Comrade Obochi Christopher, the Forum expressed its profound sadness and solidarity with the distinguished Senator and his entire family.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the passing of your grandson, Abba Moro Jnr., and the untimely death of your son, Peter Moro, in a ghastly auto crash just within the interval of hours,” the statement read.
“Our hearts go out to you and your family during this period of mourning. We can only imagine the pain and grief that you must be experiencing, and we want you to know that we stand with you in solidarity,” the group also said
The statement also acknowledged the profound nature of the loss, describing the sudden departure of two family members as a “devastating blow.” The Forum extended its prayers, asking for divine comfort and strength for the Senator, drawing from the memories of the departed and the support of his community.
“In this moment of sorrow, we want to assure you of our unwavering prayers,” the leaders continued. “May Almighty God grant you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and may your loved ones rest in eternal peace.”
The double tragedy has sent shockwaves through the political and community circles in which Senator Moro is a prominent figure. The Edumoga Che Nche Development Forum, representing a part of his constituency, has pledged its full support to the grieving family during this immensely difficult time.
