… Says reforms necessary for future stability and growth of Nigeria

THE PRESIDENT/CEO of Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), David Daser has called on Nigerians to fully support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision and re-elect him for a second term.

        David Daser
        Daser

He declared at the weekend that his ongoing reforms were necessary for the future stability and growth of the country.

Daser, who was responding to questions from journalists on his one year in office, admonished Nigerians to be patient with the President, whom he said has taken very difficult decisions the past presidents seeking re-election have avoided for fear of losing elections.

“For being courageous to make hard decisions needed to rescue the country from the previous precarious situation, I appealed to Nigerians to back the President and re-elect him, to complete his second term,” the DBI CEO said.

According to Daser: “Some of the reforms may feel painful now, but they are necessary for Nigeria’s future stability and growth. President Tinubu has taken difficult decisions that past leaders seeking re-election avoided. For example, he removed the fuel subsidy on his very first day in office. This shows his commitment to genuine reform rather than political convenience.

“I will encourage Nigerians to support the President’s vision and re-elect him for a second term. Only President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the courage to make the hard choices needed to rescue Nigeria from its current situation.”

He stated that Nigerians should be patient with President Tinubu, as some of his policies may seem tough in the short term but are intended to deliver long-term solutions.

“People should be patient with President Tinubu. I know that some of the policies are biting but I can assure them, the President is more interested in long term solutions to Nigeria’s problems. Over the years, we have adopted short-term measures that keep digging Nigeria into deep holes. He is practically filling up the holes. It will be to the gain of Nigeria in the long run.

“So, I will encourage Nigerians to support him for his second term bid, and vote for him. Among those parading themselves, it is only President Tinubu that can save Nigeria from the present economic crisis, the people ganging up in the coalition are the same people who put Nigeria into the mess. The best person we have in the room now is President Tinubu, he has taken the biggest decision that presidents who were interested in the second term were afraid to take, meaning, he doesn’t care about winning or losing election but to save Nigeria from the present crisis.”

He stated that President Tinubu’s reforms were focused on digitizing the economy, creating jobs, and modernizing governance; and in alignment with this vision, the DBI is committed to training the workforce and strengthening institutions to thrive in the digital era.

Daser said: “As part of this mandate, in DBI our strategy for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is designed to drive large-scale job creation while positioning DBI Lagos as a premier talent city.

“We are working towards establishing a 10,000-seat BPO facility in Lagos campus, a development expected to generate over 70,000 jobs. By 2026, we plan to expand this initiative to provide at least 100,000 jobs—further boosting Nigeria’s digital economy and empowering young people with sustainable employment opportunities.’

He emphasized further that the DBI stands as a vital technical partner and capacity-building institution that helps translate President Tinubu’s digital transformation agenda into reality.
