GOVERNOR Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has unanimously emerged as the new chairman of the Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum.
The governor’s appointment, which is for a term of two years, reflects the trust and confidence placed in his leadership by fellow governors of the Lake Chad basin forum, a statement by Yusuf Ali, Governor Buni’s Senior Special Assistant, Digital and Strategic Communications, stated.
Buni’s leadership of the forum is expected to drive collaborative efforts to address the region’s challenges and promote peace, stability, and sustainable development across the region.
