THE BENUE State University (BSU), Makurdi has called for applications from indigent and indigenous Computer and Mathematics students of the institution for scholarship through the Office of the Vice Chancellor.

A circular signed by the director, Center for Advancement and Linkages, Dr Terdoo Ikpanor, dated July 1, 2024 directed students to submit applications before or on July 3, 2024 while interview of shortlisted applicants will hold on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
It added that applications are to be submitted via email at: indigentscholarship@bsum.edu.ng with certificate of state origin, admission letter and letter of application.
On how the indigent status of applicants will be determined, Ikpanor said the following conditions will be considered but not limited to:
“i. Orphans or students who lost a parent and are struggling with school fees payment
“ii. Students with poor background as evident in the living conditions of parents and themselves.
“iii. Students on safe sponsorship.
“iv. Students with special needs (Disabled).
