THE Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Thursday in Abuja resolved to embark on a five-day nationwide warning strike in solidarity with public service worker in Kaduna state who are facing a massive purge by the Nasir el-Rufai-led administration.
The decision was part of recommendations of the Central Working Committee of the NLC to the National Executive Council (NEC) holding holding Thursday evening at the NLC headquarters in Abuja.
Conveying the decision at a pre-NEC press conference, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, NLC President, said the NLC has to use its might to send a message to the government with the warning strike which he said will involve all affiliates of Congress in both public and private sectors of the economy as well as all Nigerians.
