THE BENUE State Police Command has decorated seventy-eight (78) officers recently promoted to new ranks, including the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Sewuese Anene, who has been elevated to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
The decoration ceremony took place on Monday at the State Police Command Headquarters, Makurdi and was presided over by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Steve Yabanet.
In his address, Mr Yabanet congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to remain dedicated to their duties.
He encouraged other officers to emulate the commitment of the promoted officers, emphasising that the command would not hesitate to recommend hardworking personnel for accelerated promotions.
Yabanet further charged all officers and men of the command to remain loyal and dedicated, noting that such qualities attract recognition and career advancement.
Responding, on behalf of the newly promoted officers, CSP Sewuese Anene expressed profound gratitude to the Police Commission and the State Commissioner of Police for deeming them deserving of promotion.
She pledged their commitment to serving Benue State and the nation with renewed vigour and dedication.
The ceremony was attended by top-ranking officers, family members, and friends of the decorated personnel, who celebrated this significant milestone in their careers.
