THE BENUE State Police Command has announced the arrest of a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death over a misunderstanding in the early hours of Tuesday at Korinya in Konshisha LGA of Benue State.
Benue State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police (SP) Sewuese Anene, who confirmed the incident and subsequent arrest in a statement made available to newsmen, said the suspect is already in police custody.
Information about the incident is however still sketchy as neither the man’s name nor his deceased wife’s has been revealed, even as the picture of the husband and the corpse of the wife is trending in the social media.
SP Anene promised to provide details of the incident later when investigation commences.
“The incident is confirmed and suspect is in custody. we will understand what really happened during investigation,” Anene said in her terse statement.
