BENUE State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has approved the appointment of Dr Henry Ojobo as the substantive Rector of Benue State Polytechnic (Benpoly), Ugbokolo.
The appointment is for a single five-year tenure, effective April 3, 2025.
The appointment, announced by the Chairman of the Polytechnic’s Governing Council, Dr. Damian Tersoo Anyam, was confirmed in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Government House Administration, Mr. Bartholomew Geraga on Wednesday.
The statement explained that the approval of Ojobo’s appointment followed the recommendations of the Polytechnic’s Governing Council.
Ojobo, before his appointment, was an associate professor in the Department of Architecture, Kaduna State University.
In a related development, the Polytechnic’s Governing Council has also appointed three new principal officers: Dr. Sunday Akpochi as Registrar, Kase Joseph Chihinen as Bursar, and Terfa Benjamin as Librarian.
