- THE All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the fees to be paid by aspirants for various elective offices in the 2023 general elections as it announced that the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to aspirants in the elections would commence on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka, made the announcement on Wednesday in Abuja at the end of the party’s 11th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which is the highest decision-making organ in between the party’s conventions.
Aspirants seeking to fly APC’s 2023 presidential ticket are to obtain the Nomination form with the sum of N70 million, while Expression of Interest form goes for N30 million.
Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly are to be obtained by aspirants at N50 million, N20 million, N10 million and N2 million respectively.
According to Morka, the party’s NEC had approved May 30 and June 1, 2022 for its 2023 presidential primary election and May 18, 2022 for its governorship primaries.
He said that forms for the party’s female aspirants and persons with disability would be free for any elective positions in the coming 2023 general elections. He however noted that the Expression of Interest form is not free, contrary to an earlier announcement by the party’s national women leader, Betta Edu, that the women will get free forms.
The APC scribe added that youth between the age of 25-40 years would have to purchase the forms at a discount of 50 per cent.
