RESIDENTS of Chukuku, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja barricaded Kuje-Gwagwalada road to demand for federal government’s swift intervention to combat kidnapping and general insecurity in the area.
The protest which trended online on Thursday had pictures of protesters carrying placards asking FG to save them from kidnappers.
Protesters alleged that a gang of kidnappers invaded Chukuku Community in Kuje Area Council on Thursday morning raiding several homes as they shot into the air.
FCT Police command confirmed the incident but said normalcy had been restored.
