Correction: UA.News is the fourth European country through which the Model has been carried, not the second.

IN BRIEF: A report, since carried by several news platforms, described UA.News, which reported on the Sundiata Post Model on September 13 and September 20, 2026, as the second European entry of the Model. That was inaccurate. Ukraine is the fourth European country, after the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Germany. Across those four countries the Model has been carried through five European routes. It has also been deposited on SSRN in the United States.
Several news platforms carried the earlier report, and Google’s AI-generated summaries repeated its count. That is why the correction is set out here in full and not as a one-line note. A wrong number that travels should be answered with a clear, complete account of the right one.
The European quartet
The Model has been carried through four European countries through a working paper entitled The Sundiata Post Model: Journalism as a Knowledge Institution — Architecture, Endurance, and Legacy’.

Ukraine
UA.News: a Ukrainian news site published the articles on September 13 and 20, 2026. The two publications provide complementary entry points into Amuchie’s intellectual work. The first entitled: “Amuchie describes newsroom model as a knowledge center” — focused on the Sundiata Post Model and the newsroom-as-knowledge-centre proposition (https://ua.news/en/world/nigeriiskii-zhurnalist-amuchiie-opisav-model-redaktsiyi-iak-tsentru-znan). The second published as “Max Amuchie on the path of ideas from the desk to the world” — focused more directly on the movement of ideas from the desk outward, which provides the natural connection to the 4 Enoughs (https://ua.news/en/world/maks-amuchi-opisav-shliakh-idei-vid-stolu-do-svitu-premium-times-nigeria).
The two publications, rendered in Ukrainian and English, provide different entry points into the same intellectual project: how knowledge generated within an independent African newsroom can acquire institutional form, enter an archival record and subsequently encounter audiences beyond its original setting.
That is four countries and five routes. The first four routes are research repositories. They preserve work and make it discoverable. The fifth, UA.News, is a media route: a news outlet reporting on the work. The two kinds should not be treated as interchangeable.
How the count is made
Each platform is placed in the country where the platform itself is headquartered, not where its parent company is based and not where its servers are located. That rule matters because two of these platforms share an owner. Mendeley Data and SSRN both belong to Elsevier, which is a Dutch company. Under the rule used here, Mendeley Data is counted in the United Kingdom, because Mendeley is headquartered in London, and SSRN is counted in the United States, because it operates from Rochester, New York.
America’s SSRN
The Model has also been published on Social Science Research Network (SSRN), a repository based in Rochester, New York. It is the only United States platform on which the Model has been deposited.
