“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and He shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy daysI will fulfill.

I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thy enemies turn their backs unto thee” (Exodus 23:25-27).

AS YOU step into the month of September, 2025, the last quarter of the year, I decree and declare that as you serve God faithfully, passionately and dedicatedly, your portion and inheritance that belongs to you throughout this month and the last quarter of this year shall be given to you, in Jesus name!

I decree and declare that no stranger shall drink your wine neither that which you have laboured for; and your bishopric (office or position), let no man take, in Jesus Name (Isaiah 62:8; Acts 1:20)

May the Lord bless your endeavours and crown this month with great success, honour and establishment in Jesus name!

I decree and declare your preservation throughout this month and the last quarter of this year and no evil associated with “EMBER” Month shall be your portion, in Jesus name!

Introduction:

It has been established that service is the pathway to the blessing., preservation and longevity. Service is contributing your quota to the growth and move of God, to the expansion of His Kingdom mandate on the earth and the welfare of humanity. It’s also adding value and improving the church, organization and system of governance in the earth.

Service is work. It’s not competition but complementation. It’s investing in people and in the kingdom of God. The Bible says in Job 36:11, “If they obey and serve me, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures”. Service is a platform for longevity and prosperity. Do you want to live long?, then serve. Work does not kill, it enhances. Embrace it and celebrate it.

There are no short cuts to greatness. There is one price to pay and that’s service to God and humanity. Serve God with your talents, potentials, time, energy and resources. It enhances your mentality and releases your potentials. You don’t know what you carry or your worth until you deploy it or put it to work (Exodus 36:1-2).

It’s required in stewards that a man be found faithful (1Corinthians 4:2). Let your service to God be characterized with faithfulness without any form of blemish. Serve Him referentially, wholly, passionately and dedicatedly without eye service and He shall bless your bread, water and take away sicknesses from your midst, in Jesus Name. He will also make your enemies turn their back unto thee, in Jesus Name.

Biblical Examples of People Who Served in the Bible:

1. Jacob:  He served faithfully in Laban’s house for Twenty (20) years. Even though Laban changed his wages Ten (10) times, he was still faithful. None of Laban’s livestock cast their young under his watch, neither did he ate any of his flocks. He bared the loss of any of the animals eaten by beasts. This is faithfulness per excellence in service delivery and it was a requirement in stewardship (1Corinthians 4:2). Let your stewardship be characterized with faithfulness and the fear of God. God also defended him as a result of his faithfulness when Laban accused him (Genesis 31:38-42; 1Corinthians 4:2).

2. Elisha:  He served Elijah for twenty-one (21) solid years. No wonder he collected the double portion of his anointing. He performed Eight (8) major miracles in his life time because of service (2Kings 3:11).

3. Joshua:  He served Moses for forty (40) years. He was faithful to the core and when Moses was leaving, God said, call Joshua and put some of thy honour upon him (Numbers 27:18-23).

4. Joseph:  He served in Potiphar’s house for Thirteen (13) years before he became the Prime Minister in Egypt. He also served Two (2) years in the prison. From the age of Thirty (30) when he became the Prime Minister, he served in Egypt until he died at the age of One Hundred and Ten (110), when he died (Genesis 41:46).

5. David:  His services were excellence personified. God said “I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him (Psalm 89:20)”. He served his nation and generation until he fell asleep (Acts 13:36).

6. Ruth:  She served Naomi and Boaz. Her service brought her from an incestuous and iniquitous generation to becoming the great grandmother of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7.  Daniel:  He served the Babylonian Empire for Seventy (70) solid years without blemish, to the glory of God.

Tools for Effective Service:

1. Trust:  People should be able to trust you enough to render services unto them. And you must understand that it is done from a position of trust and responsibility. Your trust must be valued, not abdicated nor abused.

2. Accountability:  You must be accountable to God and under whose leadership you serve (Matthew 25:14-30).

3. Faithfulness: It is a requirement in stewardship. You must be faithful (1Corinthians 4:2).

4. Develop Strong Character/Integrity: You must develop strong morals and financial integrity.

5. Diligence: Whatever your hands find to do, do it well (Proverbs 22:29).

6. Deal with Your Motives: Let your motives be pure and serve God with sincerity of purpose without strings attached.

7. Be Teachable: You must be teachable, approachable and ready to learn.

8. Be Open to Rebuke and Correction: The moment you correct some people, they change Church. This is wrong and a sign of immaturity. By so doing, you cannot be established and prosper.

9. Be Wise: You need wisdom to handle your assignment effectively and efficiently. When Jesus was confronted by the Pharisees concerning the woman; that was cut in the very act of adultery, Jesus handled that issue with wisdom.

10. Be United. Be a team player, do not outdo each other. Bishop John Praise of the Dominion Chapel International Church once said “Do the work and let no man take the credit”. There is a commanded blessing that comes as a result of unity (Psalm 133:1-3).

11. Be Humble:  Eschew pride and arrogance. The Bible described Moses as the meekest man. God resisted the proud (James 4:6)

12. Purity:  Serve God with a pure conscience not a defiled or dead conscience.

13. Avoid the Spirit of Assumption:  Assumption can lead to frustration.

14. Avoid the Spirit of Competition: We are called to complement one another, not to outdo each other.

15. Ask Questions: Mary said: “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” (Luke 1:34). Few years ago, I asked the Lord in the place of prayer after I have been to the United Kingdom Three (3) consecutive years and I did not have the opportunity to preach in any Church. I sort the Lord in the place of prayer for three days. On the third day, I asked the Lord “When do I know it is my time?” Here is the answer The Lord gave to me. He said “when it’s your time, the things you are looking for, will be looking for you”. Brethren, dare to ask the Lord and He shall answer you, in Jesus Name.

Rewards of Service

1. Transference of the anointing (1Samuel 10:1; Numbers 27:18-23; Psalm 89:20).

2. Recovery and restoration (1Samuel 9:20).
