GOVERNOR Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has recalled the state’s Attorney General, Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, Fidelis Bemsen Mnyim, from suspension.
The governor had on October 23, 2024 suspended the Mnyim following his alleged unilateral decision to join a lawsuit challenging the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) without the governor’s permission.

Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Tersoo Kula, who announced the the lifting of the suspension to journalists after the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting held on Monday at Government House, Makurdi, explained that Myim had given a satisfactory explanation for his unilateral decision and the state government has withdrawn from the suit against the anti-graft agencies hence the lifting of his suspension.
