THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has explained that its operatives invaded the residence of Rochas Okorocha because he jumped bail and refused to accept court processes from the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC’s spokesperson stated this in a press release on Tuesday evening. JUSTICE Yusuf Halilu of an FCT High Court on Monday convicted a former lawmaker Chuma Nzeribe of forgery. The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) arraigned Nzeribe on four counts of false pretence, impersonation, forgery and cheating. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in Kano State, said it received 52 complaints of human right abuses in the month of April. Kano State NHRC Coordinator, Alhaji Shehu Abdullahi, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Kano. He said that 43 of the 52 cases had been treated while nine others are pending. A team of researchers at the Federal University Dutse (FUD), has discovered some species of mosquitos that are resistant to available insecticide treated nets in the state, except those treated with a particular insecticide called Primiphosmethyl. THE Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, says the country will review the guideline for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) in 2022 to improve on its treatment as the old one is obsolete. Ehanire, represented by a Deputy Director in the ministry, Dr Alayo Sopekan, said this in Abuja on Monday, at the Sickle Pan African Consortium Nigeria Network (SPARC-NET) two-day workshop.
