Dear Vice President;

I hope this letter finds you well. As you continue your vital work, I wanted to offer some words of encouragement. As a leader of great influence, you may face criticism or feel overlooked, especially when endorsements are directed solely at the President without acknowledging your contributions.

Stay focused on your core objectives and responsibilities, and don’t let public opinions dictate your path. You are very privileged to have recognized that true power and authority emanate from Allah alone not from anyone. As an individual, strive to utilize your abilities and positions for the greater good, humbly submitting to the divine will that shapes your life and destiny.

As a human being, it can be hurtful when efforts go unrecognized, no matter how hard you try to overlook it. Despite your humility and tireless efforts to positively represent the administration nationally and internationally, remember that your intellectual capacity and abilities are divine gifts. This realization will always boost your confidence and resilience.

Always remember that Allah, the Master of all, has elevated you to where you are today. Your remarkable journey from a relatively unknown banker to Commissioner in Borno State, where you held positions in five ministries, (2007-2011), and later served as Governor of Borno State (2011-2019), tackling the Boko Haram insurgency and implementing key development initiatives, showcases your dedication and leadership.

Your ascension to Senator representing Borno Central (2019-2023) and subsequently to Vice President of Nigeria, where you’ve overseen the National Economic Council and shaped pivotal economic policies, showcases your remarkable growth and dedication to public service. What has become of those who are now orchestrating political drama against you? It’s evident that your destiny was always poised for greatness, transcending troublemakers’ machinations.

Divine intervention has vindicated you, exposing stakeholders’ self-serving motives and desperation for relevance. Those seeking to undermine you will likely be eclipsed by your exceptional qualities. Rumours of rifts between you and the President will likely fall flat, as loyalty and strong alliances often trump petty politics.

Stay focused on serving the nation and advancing its interests. Maintain a clear vision for progress and development, and avoid letting divisions arise. Prioritize pressing issues that demand your leadership and expertise, ensuring the nation’s progress remains paramount.

I’m confident that those opposing your continuity as Vice President have underestimated your exceptional leadership qualities and profound understanding of politics. As a Muslim, you know that you believe in Al-Qadar, the concept of Divine Decree or predestination.

This fundamental aspect of faith reminds us that everything, whether good or bad, originates from Allah. We trust in Allah’s wisdom, and plan, acknowledging that lifespan, deeds, and circumstances are predestined and recorded in the Lauhul-Mahfuz. As Allah says, ‘Allah does not burden any soul beyond what it can bear.

The Northeast APC stakeholders’ meeting in Gombe State erupted into chaos after the NWC endorsed President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, notably excluding you, sparked controversy and paradoxically amplified your popularity, fuelling widespread discontent and criticism of the APC stakeholders’ actions.

Amidst negativity, your exceptional emotional intelligence shines, revealing a deep grasp of power dynamics and adaptability. Your skilful navigation of complex politics showcases vast experience and remarkable leadership.

In the midst of political manoeuvring you should remain resolute in advancing the administration’s agenda. Your calm demeanour and thoughtful approach have garnered respect, distinguishing you as a leader who masterfully navigates the intricacies of power.

Through local and international engagements, you have, as Vice President, helped in positioning Nigeria as a proactive contributor to global development and security initiatives, offering transformative insights that are valuable assets to the administration.

Stay focused on your priorities and continue working tirelessly toward the administration’s goals. Your dedication to national development is valued, and Nigerians trust your commitment.

Thank you for your service.

Sincerely,

Abba Dukawa
