MEN of Operation Zenda, a Joint Task Force (JTF), under the Nigeria Police, Benue State Command, headed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Felix Arumun Nomiyugh has arrested one Faith Torkule with two hundred (200) live ammunition of Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) and 117 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, a highly placed source in the state police command confided in National Record.
The source said Faith, aged 37 was nabbed at Gbagir Village in Tyuluv ward of Ukum LGA along Wukari-Zaki Biam Road at Ayati Junction.

Faith who is said to have been confirmed as an associate of the dreaded and vicious armed bandit Kingpin known as Ukum Dekera a.k.a, Chen, allegedly confessed to the crime as police investigation is said to be ongoing.
Ukum and Wukari LGAs in Benue and Taraba states respectively have been under persistent attack by bandit over the years and in spite of joint security operations in the areas, respite is yet to be restored.
The state commander of Operations Zenda/JTF, SP Felix Nomiyugh, declined comments on the arrest when contacted while Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene, was yet to respond as at press time.
National Record had reported on March 10, 2024 that Governor Hyacinth Alia, had attributed the killing of seven (7) persons in Gbagir community, Tyuluv council ward of Ukum LGA of the state on March 5, 2024 to a reprisal attack following cattle rustling by a militia group in the community while the caretaker chairman of Ukum LGC, Hon. Victor Iorzaa, on his part said the attack was carried out by armed herders in collusion with a local militia group, who attacked their rival gang over the killing of one of the herders which resulted to casualties recorded and displacement of the locals from the area.
