A FEDERAL Capital Territory High Court has adjourned till Jan. 18, 2024 for the continuation of the trial in the alleged procurement fraud case against former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele.
Emefiele was accused of awarding a contract for the procurement of 43 vehicles worth N1.2 billion between 2018 and 2020 to a staff of CBN by name Sa’adatu Yaro.
Justice Hamza Muazu granted him bail in the sum of N300 million but he is still in the Kuje Correctional Centre due to his inability to meet the bail conditions.

The former CBN governor must produce two sureties in like sum, who must have Certificates of Occupancy and titles of properties in Maitama District, Abuja.
