THE INTERNATIONAL Labour Organisation (ILO) will publish the second edition of Profits and Poverty: The economics of forced labour report, which will unveil the latest estimates of illegal profits derived from forced labour.
At the time of the first edition in 2014, profits from forced labour were estimated at US$150 billion annually.

The study presents estimates of illegal profits from forced labour at global, regional and sectoral levels. The findings will offer a deeper understanding of the complex economic dynamics involved in forced labour practices.
ILO says the report and all associated materials will be under STRICT EMBARGO until 19 March at 9:45 CET (8:45 GMT).
